Lions Earn SAC Victory over Newberry
March 21, 2012MARS HILL, N.C.-- The Mars Hill women's tennis team earned a 6-3 victory over SAC opponent Newberry Wednesday afternoon at Mars Hill College. The Lions are now 7-6 on the season, 3-1 in SAC play. Newberry is 11-6 overall, 2-1 in SAC matches.
Erika Pinate, Tatiana Dualiby, Anna Rickenbaker and Jacqueline Rouquet were all victorious in singles matches for Mars Hill. Dualiby rallied after dropping the first set to win the last two to earn the victory. Newberry got a singles victory from Emily Helsel.
Mars Hill took home victories in the number one and two doubles matches.
Mars Hill will host Limestone on Sunday, Mar. 25 at 2 p.m. for its next match.
