Men's Tennis Falls to Tusculum
April 6, 2012GREENEVILLE, TENN.-- The Mars Hill men's tennis team was defeated by Tusculum, 5-4, Friday afternoon. Mars Hill falls to 6-9 overall, 2-4 in SAC matches. Tusculum is now 10-8 overall, 4-3 in conference matches.
Tusculum got singles victories from Lukas Winkelmann, Paul Wiederspahn, Steven Lin and Stefan Vergeer. Euquerio Guerrero and Enrico Patriarca earned singles match wins for Mars Hill. The Lions won two of the three doubles matches, which included Lucas Simm and Guilherme Lima prevailing in a close 9-8 (8-4) victory.
Mars Hill will be in action again on Saturday, April 7 at Brevard, with match time set for 3 p.m.
