Lions Help Make-A-Wish
April 14, 2012MARS HILL, N.C.-- The Mars Hill men's and women's tennis, softball, baseball, women's soccer, and football teams partnered with the Student Athletic Advisory Committee to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation Saturday at various Mars Hill athletic events.
The SAAC raised over $300 on the day for the foundation. Today was part of a successful year in which the SAAC partnered with Make-A-Wish to raise money for the foundation. In total, the SAAC raised over $2,600 for Make-A-Wish programs. This was the final fundraiser held by the Student Athletic Advisory Committee for Make-A-Wish this school year.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions. It's mission is to enrich the human experience with hope, strength, and joy.
Mars Hill athletics thanks those who supported Lion teams and their partnership with Make-A-Wish this season.
