Osmanski will be joining Mars Hill after attending Pelion High School in Pelion, S.C. This season, the infielder is batting .500 with a .524 on-base percentage, .828 slugging percentage, and five home runs.

“Tiffany has a strong arm and a powerful bat,” said Mars Hill Head Coach Monica Gordy. “We look for Tiffany to add depth to our infield and be a consistent contributor at the plate”

Fowler comes to Mars Hill from Boiling Springs High School in Boiling Springs, S.C. Fowler has been a key contributor on several state title teams with the Carolina Elite Gold travel team and was the 2011 MVP in the Region 4A State Tournament. Fowler currently leads her team in doubles, and is a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

“Haleigh is a well-rounded athlete,” said Coach Gordy. “She can play outfield, but will also see time behind the plate. She has a strong work ethic and a great attitude. I am excited to announce Haleigh as an addition to our team!”

Vickery comes to Mars Hill after rewriting the record books at Roswell High School in Roswell, Ga. She holds the school records in home runs, batting average, slugging percentage, RBIs and singles. She is a three-time Offensive Player of the Year, and has been named to the All-Region team all four years of her high school career.

“Erin is a powerful hitter and we expect her to carry over her offensive accomplishments throughout her collegiate career,” said Coach Gordy. “Erin will also contribute defensively as a catcher.”

James is a Canton, N.C. native and attended Pisgah High School. James is the school record holder for RBI and single-season home runs with 12. James has earned All-State, All-Western N.C., All-District and All-County recognition, and was a starter on the 2011 State 2A Championship team. James also started on the school’s basketball and volleyball teams and is a member of the National Honors Society.

“Micah is a versatile player who knows how to win,” said Coach Gordy. “She comes from a successful high school program where she has been a key contributor in their success. Micah will be a great foundation for the future of our program.”

Rounding out the class is Booze, who attended Mardela High School in Salisbury, Md. Booze was recently named the Mountaire Farms Scholar Athlete of the Month in February 2012. This season, Booze has excelled both at the plate and in the circle. She is batting .488 with a .620 on-base percentage and 28 RBIs, while pitching her way to a 10-1 record with a 1.05 ERA and 73 strikeouts. Opponents have hit just .146 against her this season.

“Jamie will be a great addition to the MHC pitching staff,” said Coach Gordy. “She has been a dominant force on the mound for her high school, and she also poses a threat at the plate. I am pleased to welcome Jamie to the MHC softball family.”
