Softball Signee Named All-American
June 11, 2012MARS HILL, N.C.-- Mars Hill softball signee Jamie Hockaday has been named to the 2012 NJCAA Division I All-America Team. Part of Mars Hill's 2012 recruiting class, Hockaday will be joining the Lions program this fall.
Hockaday earned Third Team honors while starring at Louisburg College. She finished her sophomore season with a 1.98 ERA to earn honors for her work in the circle. Hockaday was also a major contributer at the plate for Louisburg, posting a .456 batting average with 11 home runs and 47 RBIs. She did not commit an error defensively.
Hockaday was also named Louisburg College's Female Outstanding Athlete of the Year.
