
Baseball Drops Double-Header at Georgia College
February 2, 2013MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. – Mars Hill’s baseball team lost a double-header at Georgia College Saturday at John Kurtz Field. The Lions lost the first game 13-7 and then fell in game two, 6-0. It was the season opener for both squads.
Evan Rogers led MHC at the plate going 3-5 with a run scored. Phillip Carroll followed going 3-7 with a pair of RBI. Thomas Timmerman and Shawn Weber both went 2-5 on the day. Weber scored twice. Tommy Scala had two hits and a double.
The Lions will conclude the three game set on Sunday. First pitch is set for 12 p.m.
