Power Sox Invitational Results
March 2, 2013HICKORY, N.C.— The Mars Hill women’s track and field team opened their outdoor season at the Power Sox Invitational, held Saturday at the Irwin Belk Track.
Kendra Gamble turned in the Lions best performances of the day with a ninth-place finish in the 200 Meter Dash. Her time in the event was 28:10. Gamble also finished tenth in 100 Meter Dash with a time of 13.33.
Savannah Maisel added the Lions other top ten finish with a tenth-place finish in the 800 Meter Run. Elizabeth Klapmeyer placed 13th in the event.
Heidi Hooker finished 13th in the One Mile Run, while Anje Kidd finished 15th in the 5000 Meter Run.
Toccara Jefferies added a 20th-place finish in the 400 Meter Dash.
Mars Hill will compete in the Coastal Carolina Shamrock Invitational, which begins Mar. 14 in Conway, S.C.
