Power Sox Invitational Results
March 2, 2013HICKORY, N.C.— The Mars Hill men’s track and field team opened their outdoor season at the Power Sox Invitational, held Saturday at the Irwin Belk Track.
Travis Riner notched a pair of first-place finishes in the Shot Put and Discus. Riner’s winning throw in the Shot Put was 48’-10”. His winning Discus throw was 140 feet.
Cameron Shaw placed fourth in the Long Jump with a jump of 20’-7.25”. Shaw also placed 10th in the 100 Meter Dash.
Cesar Reyes placed sixth in the 5000 Meter Run with a time of 15:43.54. Daniel Jezioranski finished a second later in seventh place. Reyes added a third-place finish in the Steeplechase.
Eric Blackburn ran a time of 4:35.66 to place eighth in the One Mile Run. Jaymz Fagaragan added a ninth-place finish in the Javelin Throw.
Mars Hill will compete in the Coastal Carolina Shamrock Invitational, which begins Mar. 14 in Conway, S.C.
