MARS HILL, N.C.-- Mars Hill softball team member Natalie Haithcox was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District III 2011-12 Softball Team, which was announced Friday.
Haithcox excelled both on the field during the season and in the classroom throughout the school year. The senior carried a 3.37 GPA as a History Education major. On the field, Haithcox slammed a school-record 18 home runs with a school-record .966 slugging percentage. Haithcox was previously named first-team all-conference.
